About Us

We rescue and re-habilitate abandoned, abused cats and kittens
We heal them . . .
Inside . . .
And
Out…
and then re-home them

Hello Everyone

As well as creating Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery (of which I am very proud), I also run a cat rescue shelter which has been in existence for 32 years; Woodland Nook Cat Rescue is not made up of cages, oh no, the cats have their own bungalow with flat screen tv, fully fitted kitchen, private courtyard, enclosed and safe having access to raised areas for playing, large cat conservatory and viewing gallery where they can watch the birds and enjoy the view from up above.

Until they are homed, the cats enjoy a lazy and happy life of care and love.

We always welcome volunteers to help us function as a rescue centre and if you could spare a couple of hours a week, the cats (and humans) would be most grateful.

We always carry out a Pre-Home Check and then a Follow Up Visit one month after homing.

We are a private, self-funded rescue centre and do ask for a decent but fair donation. Here is a link to our donations page or help by adding to our tub of food donations at the Co-op in Ripley, Derbyshire

Thank you for taking the time to view our unique Cat Rescue Shelter.
